Two men, one from Old Bridge and one from Whiting, were arrested on Monday April 27 on burglary charges in South Brunswick. William Reed, of Old Bridge, and Darryl Naughton, of Whiting, were allegedly found standing by a parked vehicle outside of a burglarized home, and leaving the home with a jar full of change in hand. Woodbridge Man Arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Heroin in Paterson

David Dyson, 35, of Woodbridge, was arrested on the evening of Saturday, April 25 when Paterson police stopped the vehicle he was riding in for multiple traffic violations, including speeding. Dyson asked officers to allow him to get his chewing tobacco, and as Dyson reached for his tobacco, that’s when officers allegedly spotted a bag of marijuana in plain sight in the vehicle. Trying to escape, a man in New Brunswick, who had stolen a car while driving it on a sidewalk in an attempt to escape, ended up ramming several vehicles which included two police cars. A woman was recently arrested for a million dollar prostitution ring in Middlesex County. Aged 44, Deanna Ruiz was sentenced in New Brunswick by Judge Michael A. Toto in the Superior Court. A 42-year old New Jersey woman was charged with third degree insurance fraud this week. The county fraud unit received a referral from an insurance company that one of its insured clients had disclosed fraud. Reportedly, the woman has "made material misrepresentation in obtaining her motor vehicle insurance policies since 1999," claiming to be a single woman in a household without another driver.
