Criminal Charges in New Brunswick New Jersey

As previously stated, there are two court systems which exist in New Brunswick. There is a municipal court that handles all traffic charges, including DWI, and criminal charges that fall within the grade of a disorderly persons offense. This is probably the busiest municipal court in the Middlesex County with many court sessions and several judges to process not only matters filed by the New Brunswick Police Department but also those issued by the Rutgers Police Department. An attorney with many years of experience handling cases in this court is available in our New Brunswick Criminal Office to assist you. We are conveniently located just a block from the entrance to the municipal court and are available by telephone at 732-246-7126 to discuss your simple assault, marijuana possession, underage drinking or other New Brunswick criminal matter.

More serious criminal cases that are felonies are referred to as indictable offenses and are handled at the county courthouse. Middlesex County Superior Court charges are those that bear the designation of being a crime of the first to fourth degree. We have decades in practice defending eluding, drug distribution, aggravated assault and other violations in this courthouse. In fact, Jason Seidman, Esq., was a supervisor in the agency responsible for prosecuting all criminal cases at this venue. We are certainly extremely acquainted with this court system, the players involved, and what it takes to succeed on behalf of our clients.
