Jason Seidman brings direct Middlesex County prosecutorial experience to his criminal defense practice. Before joining The Law Offices of Jonathan F. Marshall, Mr. Seidman spent five years with the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, where he handled felony-level matters and developed firsthand knowledge of how criminal cases are investigated, charged, negotiated, and tried in New Brunswick and throughout the county.
During his time as a prosecutor, Mr. Seidman worked on street-level drug distribution cases in New Brunswick and later handled crimes arising out of Woodbridge Township, Jamesburg, Milltown, Monroe, and Sayreville. He also supervised the Drug Court Unit and served as a legal adviser to the Middlesex County Gangs, Guns and Drugs Task Force. Today, he uses that experience to identify weaknesses in the State’s case and create defense strategies that prosecutors may not anticipate.
Mr. Seidman’s practice focuses heavily on serious criminal charges, including weapons offenses, drug distribution, robbery, aggravated assault, sexual offenses, conspiracy, burglary, and cases involving potential prison exposure. He is known for careful preparation, sharp issue-spotting, and a litigation style built around finding the leverage point that can change the direction of a case.
