William Wackowski

William E. Wachowski brings more than a decade of criminal law experience to the defense of clients charged in Middlesex County and throughout New Jersey. His Middlesex County background is particularly strong: before entering private defense practice, he served as a municipal prosecutor in New Brunswick, North Brunswick, East Brunswick, Piscataway, Metuchen, Edison, and Helmetta.

That firsthand prosecutorial experience in many of Middlesex County’s busiest municipal courts gives Mr. Wachowski practical insight into local court procedure, charging decisions, plea negotiations, and the types of issues that arise in DWI, drug possession, simple assault, shoplifting, criminal mischief, traffic, and disorderly persons cases. He understands how municipal prosecutors evaluate evidence and how to challenge cases before they become long-term problems for clients.

Mr. Wachowski later built a criminal defense practice focused on indictable offenses ranging from drug possession to murder. He is known for his courtroom competitiveness, ability to negotiate effectively with prosecutors, and commitment to helping people facing stressful and unfamiliar circumstances. For Middlesex County clients, he offers the combination of local municipal court knowledge and broader criminal defense experience.
