Matthew J. Dorry

Matthew Dorry represents clients in criminal, DWI, traffic, and Motor Vehicle Commission matters throughout New Jersey. His background is especially relevant for Middlesex County clients because he earned his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University and previously interned and volunteered with a Middlesex County domestic violence agency, serving as a court advocate and participating in domestic violence hearings.

Before joining The Law Offices of Jonathan F. Marshall, Mr. Dorry served as a municipal prosecutor for approximately twenty municipalities, handling thousands of DWI, traffic, disorderly persons, ordinance, and municipal court cases. That prosecutorial experience allows him to anticipate how the State may evaluate a case and where a defense attorney can create leverage through discovery review, legal arguments, negotiation, or trial preparation.

Mr. Dorry’s practice is well suited for clients facing DWI, refusal, traffic summonses, suspended license issues, domestic violence-related municipal charges, simple assault, shoplifting, criminal mischief, and other disorderly persons offenses. Clients often value his ability to explain the process clearly while building strategic defenses designed to protect their driving privileges, record, and future.
